Sam Metott
Coach
Bio
Stealth Lacrosse is excited to welcome Sam Metott to our coaching staff.
Sam brings a wealth of experience in youth sports as both a coach and a parent, with lacrosse playing a significant role in his family’s life. As the father of a high-level player in the 2030 class, he understands firsthand the value of strong coaching, a positive team culture, and long-term player development.
His lacrosse coaching background includes three years with the Boca Jets 8U recreational program, as well as coaching the Stealth 8U travel team during last fall season. In addition to his coaching experience, Sam has held key leadership roles within the sport, serving two years as President of the Parkland Red Hawks lacrosse program and two years as Executive Director of South Florida Youth Lacrosse. These roles have given him extensive experience in program development, league operations, and organizational leadership.
Beyond lacrosse, Sam has spent the past 25 years in parks and recreation leadership with the Cities of Hollywood, Plantation, and Delray Beach. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with youth athletics and community-based sports organizations, overseeing more than 30 nonprofit programs with responsibilities that included scheduling, policy development, and operational management. His coaching experience also spans youth basketball, soccer, and flag football, and he is the founder of a travel AAU basketball team.
Sam currently serves as the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Delray Beach and holds degrees in exercise science, sports management, and leadership from Herkimer County Community College, the University of Tampa, and Nova Southeastern University.
We are excited to have Sam’s experience, leadership, and passion for youth development as part of the Stealth Lacrosse program.
