TRAVEL TEAM FAQ's
Stealth has two primary seasons; Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. The Spring season typically runs from Mid-April through June. The Fall Season typically starts in October and is completed by the second week of December.
Stealth practices twice per week, either Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays, usually from 6:30-8:15 pm in the City of Parkland, FL.
Unlike many other sports, travel lacrosse does not have any league games. We only participate in tournaments. Each of our teams has custom tournament schedule to better accomodate the wants and needs of the team. Generally, our local teams will participate in 2-4 tournaments per season, where you will have 2 games on a Saturday and 2-3 games on a Sunday. During each season, we have one tournament in Orlando, and usually the other 2-3 will be local (ie. – Parkland, West Palm Beach, etc.).
Stealth National "Black Ops" Teams participate in both in-state and out-of-state national level tournaments.
Tryouts are held in August for the Fall/Winter season and in February for Spring/Summer season.
Our main goal is to provide a team/playing environment for all players. We will evaluate each player at tryouts and determine which team is most suitable for them. Following tryouts our expert coaching staff and directors will notify each player which team they have been selected for.
At younger ages, we generally find a team and playing environment for all players. If there is no team, we will provide a training program for the players. At the older ages, tryouts become more competitive, and we do have cuts.
For the U8-U10 teams who play 7v7 format, we will hold 14-16 players on the team. Teams who play 10v10 format, will be made up of 18-22 players.
Each team will have 2-3 coaches assigned to it. Both an offense and defense coach will be present. We announce our coaches for the teams at tryouts.
The Stealth Coaching staff is key to our program's success and player development. Stealth Lacrosse provides the top coaches in the area at all age levels. Our coaches have a long history of playing and coaching experience, which they utilize to develop our players. Not only are coaches highly qualified to educate our players, but they are also great people as well, teaching not only the game but life lessons to our players. Our coaching staff provides a fun, safe, and competitive playing environment for our players while developing each player to be the best player/teammate possible.
For your child to progress at an optimum rate, consistent practice is a crucial element of their progress. That being said, we understand many of our kids may play other sports or have school commitments, which may sometimes affect their ability to make every practice.
Absolutely! We offer optional small group trainings and individual training options for our athletes virtually all year round.
Stealth Lacrosse offers many different opportunities based on the needs and abilities of the team. As teams progress throughout the years, we often travel out of state to compete against some of the top programs in the country.
Our "Black Ops" teams are designed for our more advanced players who are committed to traveling out-of-state to national-level events.
